World hunger is connected to malnutrition, which is when someone lacks nutrition. About 805 million people are not correctly nourished, and they wind up eating less than the recommended 2,100 calories a day. That is about 11.3% of the world. The world is making enough food for the 7 billion people in the world, but the people in the underdeveloped countries cannot afford to buy the food they need for themselves and their families. It was approximated that about 7.6 million kids died in 2010 from hunger.
