The people who are earning an income of about $1.50 are the ones that are hungry and living in extreme poverty. Families and smallhold farmers that live in developing countries are the ones that are in poverty and that are hungry. The farmers do not have enough room for growing ther own food, so they cannot feed themselves and their families. Also the income in their country is not high so they cannot afford to buy food either.
Once again the people who are affected by this the most are smallhold farmers and their families. During a certain time of the year the farmers cannot grow their own crops. The time they call before their harvest is "Hunger Season". They call it that because the food from their previous harvest is running low, so they have to cut down on what they are eating to save for the rest of the time.
Without well made roads it is very hard for people to transport food to the cities and towns that need it. Because of this,some parts of a country could have enough food for everybody, but other parts do not have any food. And without getting water, the people could not grow there own food. Since they do not have water, the women and girls would have to go out for hours to get water.
There are people in underdeveloped countries that are making $1.25 a day, most of those people spend their money on food. With the money they are making, they barely even have enough to spend on food.
